Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 200 g butter
- 350 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 3 eggs
- 500 g flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 125 ml milk
- 3 tbsp, levelled cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp, levelled sugar
- 3 tbsp milk
- 2 tbsp rum, can also be omitted-
- powdered sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Separate the egg yolks and egg whites. Cream the butter until fluffy. Gradually add the sugar, vanilla sugar (and rum, if using), and egg yolks, one at a time. Beat everything together for about 10 minutes until a smooth batter forms. Stir in the sifted flour, mixed with the baking powder, and the milk alternately, then lightly fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites. Take out 1/3 of the batter and mix it with the cocoa powder, milk, and sugar. Pour both batters alternately into a greased pan and bake at 180°C for about 1 hour. Sprinkle the cooled cake with powdered sugar.
