Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 200 g blueberries, frozen
- 150 ml oat milk (oat drink)
- 85 g oat flakes
- 1 tsp honey or agave syrup
- 2 pinches of sugar
- ¼ banana(s), very ripe
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Thaw the blueberries if they’re very frozen to make blending easier. Cut a quarter of a banana into smaller pieces. A very ripe banana will make the smoothie creamier. Place a blender or high-speed blender on a stable surface. Add the frozen blueberries, honey, oat milk, banana pieces, sugar, and oats to the blender. Please note: Honey is not vegan; for a vegan version, agave syrup can be used. Start the blender on low speed and gradually increase the speed until everything is well blended and a smooth consistency is reached, which should take about 1-2 minutes. Season the smoothie to taste and add more honey or sugar if desired. Pour the smoothie into a glass or mug and optionally garnish with fresh blueberries or oats. Serve the blueberry banana smoothie for breakfast, as a snack, or after a workout.
