Bishop's bread – Christmas pastry

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g block chocolate
  • 4 m.-sized egg(s)
  • 250 g sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 250 g almonds with shell
  • 125 g candied lemon peel
  • 125 g candied orange peel
  • 200 g raisins
  • 2 tbsp, levelled cocoa
  • n. B. Cinnamon powder
  • n. B. Clove powder
  • n. B. Lemon flavor
  • Chocolate icing for spreading

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Chop the chocolate block into small pieces. Beat the eggs until frothy. Mix in all ingredients except the spices and stir thoroughly. Add the cinnamon, cloves, and lemon flavoring and stir again. Line a baking sheet with baking paper and spread the batter on it. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C – 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 20 minutes. Let the base cool, then cover with chocolate icing. Cut the pastry into small pieces.
