Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g jacket potatoes
  • 500 g minced beef or mixed
  • 1 bread roll(s), soaked
  • 1 onion(s), chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • oil
  • 40 g butter or margarine
  • 40 g flour
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ¼ liter meat broth or vegetable broth
  • ½ onion(s), very finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

delicious potato dish with meatballs in Russian style

Meatballs: Mix soaked bread, finely chopped onion, ground meat, and seasonings and form into meatballs. Fry in oil on both sides and then place in a greased baking dish. Slice the boiled potatoes and place them over the meatballs. Sour cream sauce: Melt the butter or margarine, add the finely chopped onion, and sauté briefly. Add the flour, sauté, and pour in the vegetable or meat broth. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat, stir in the cream, and season with salt. Pour the sauce over the potatoes and meatballs, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs. Bake in the oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes.
