Black Bean Chili in the Instant Pot

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 150 g dried black beans
  • 920 ml water
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 450 ml tomato sauce
  • ½ tsp curry powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • ½ tsp turmeric

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Wash the beans thoroughly and cook with the water for 6 minutes on the manual program. Release the pressure and drain the beans. Sauté the garlic and onion with about 100 ml of water for about 5 minutes on the sauté program. Add the turmeric and garam masala and sauté for 1 minute. Add the tomato sauce, cumin, curry powder, and the black beans. Sauté for another 2-3 minutes. Add salt and mix well again. Serve with rice.
