Black Forest Cream Cake
The perfect black forest cream cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 Dark cake base
- 1 Shortcrust pastry base
- 1,5 L Cream
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tsp Cream stiffener
- 1 glass Sour cherries
- 3 tbsp Jam … best cherry
- Cherry juice from the sour cherries
- Kirsch brandy or brandy
- Grated couverture
- Cut the cake base into three slices
- Beat the cream with the sugar and the cream stiffener
- Spread jam on the shortcrust pastry base, place a slice of cake crust on top and soak with cherry juice and kirsch
- Spread the cream evenly on top, put 16 cherries on the side and then add half of the cherries
- Now put another slice of cake crust on top and repeat the same thing
- Finally, put the last cake base on top, soak it and smooth it with cream
- Now brush the edge of the cake with cream and then smooth it out with a serrated spatula
- Divide into 16 pieces, put the rest of the cream in a piping bag and dress the rosettes on the cake pieces
- Now put a cherry on the rosettes and decorate the cake with grated couverture
