Blackberry – Mustard …
The perfect blackberry – mustard … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 400 g Blackberries fresh
- 30 Milliliters Balsamic vinegar
- 80 g Brown sugar
- 0,5 Fresh shallot
- 2 tablespoon Mustard seeds
- Ground pepper white
- Salt
- Sort, wash and finely puree the blackberries. Bring the blackberry puree, balsamic vinegar and sugar to a boil in a saucepan. Simmer gently on a low heat for five minutes. Take off the stove.
- Peel the shallot, dice very finely. Mix into the blackberry sauce. Grind the mustard seeds very finely. Stir into the sauce.
- Heat the sauce again. Season to taste with pepper and salt. Fill into prepared bottles and close. Store in the refrigerator.
- Personally, next time I would strain the blackberry puree through a sieve before further processing. … the kernels bother me … 😉
