Ingredients
- 5 Eggs
- 200 g Butter
- 200 g Block cuts
- 100 g Sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 100 g Flour
- 1 tbsp Rum
Instructions
A few words right at the beginning
- Since my children like to eat slices, it often happens that I always have leftovers and smaller pieces. The children usually do not want these and leave them where they are. I thought about how I could dispose of these leftovers. The cuts were either always hard or softened in a weird way. In order to prevent that I have to throw something away again, I came up with the idea of processing these leftovers into a cake ..... .... and as if by magic, the children ate the slices again in a "different shape" .
That's how it works....
- Make the leftovers very small with a grater.
- Preheat the oven pipe to 170 degrees.
- Separate the eggs.
- Beat the egg whites with the sugar until stiff.
- Mix the butter with the vanilla sugar until frothy. Then stir in the baking powder. Also add the egg yolks and continue to stir until frothy.
- Now only fold in the sliced flour and flour. If the mass is too firm, then add the rum.
- Using a spoon, carefully fold in the stiff egg white.
- Now put the mixture in a cake tin and place in the stove for about 30 minutes (depending on the shape).
- Then you can lightly sugar the cake with icing sugar.
One detail at the end (so that there is no confusion)
- For the children, I added a rum flavoring as an alternative - in conjunction with a little water.
