7 Foods You Can’t Give a Cat: No Milk or Raw Fish

Many cat owners give unhealthy foods to their cats without knowing that the cat could get sick. We all act in good faith and want to pamper our pets, but it can hurt the cat. And a bowl of cottage cheese or a fishtail can seriously ruin a cat’s well-being.

Dairy products

Most cats won’t turn down a bowl of milk or sour cream, but that doesn’t mean dairy products are good for them. Adult cats do not digest or digest lactose. If a cat overeats or eats too many fatty dairy products, he may “thank” you for vomiting and diarrhea.

Fish bones and tinned fish

Lean fish fillets are good for cats but do not give them scraps of fish heads and tails. Sharp fish bones are poorly digested by their bodies and can damage their esophagus. Fish also contains a lot of phosphorus, which cats do not need in such large quantities. Excess phosphorus threatens urolithiasis. Canned fish is unhealthy because of the excess preservatives.

Grapes and raisins

Some cats have a love of grapes and enjoy eating their berries. But this should be forbidden. Grapes and raisins cause severe poisoning and vomiting in the cat and lead to kidney disease, which will cause the animal to have to be put on a lifelong treatment diet.

Chocolate

If you notice a cat eating chocolate, take him to the vet immediately. Theobromine in chocolate is fatal to cats. But even if it is not fatal, the negative effects on the body will still happen. Chocolate puts a serious strain on the cat’s heart, causing tachycardia and seizures.

Sausage

Sausages contain large amounts of salt, pepper, preservatives, and other substances harmful to cats. If a cat frequently dines on sausage, digestive tract, and kidney disease are inevitable.

Mushrooms

For the body of cats, mushrooms are a heavy and useless food. Mushrooms contain toxins that are harmful to cats and accumulate in the stomach over time.

Onions

Some cats love to chew on raw onions, and their owners watch it with amusement. But you mustn’t indulge in this habit. Onions and garlic in all kinds of food and in their raw state are very bad for cats. These vegetables destroy red blood cells in the cat’s blood, which can lead to anemia, and also irritate the stomach.
