  • 2-3 tbsp of baking soda;
  • microwave bowl;
  • 2 cups of water;
  • sponges, brushes, and dry rags.

Pour the baking soda into a container with water and put it in the microwave for 10-15 minutes, while turning the oven to maximum power. After the specified time, do not open the door for a few minutes, and then take out the bowl of water. Remove any dirt that has softened on the walls of the oven with a damp sponge and a dry cloth.

How to clean the microwave with lemon – grandma’s method

Lemon is also a great way to deal with any dirt if you use it correctly. In order to clean the microwave, take:

  • 1-2 cups of water;
  • A microwave bowl;
  • 1 lemon;
  • sponges, brushes, and dry rags.

You need to pour water into the bowl and squeeze the lemon juice into it. Cut the rest of the fruit and also put it in a container. Put the bowl in the microwave, turn it on to full power, and leave it there for 5-10 minutes. Do not open the oven for another 5 minutes, and then wipe the device with a sponge and cloth.

How to clean the microwave – a tip hook with citric acid

If you do not want to use lemon, you can buy a bag of citric acid – it is as good as a fruit to remove dirt and grease. Make sure you have:

  • A microwavable bowl;
  • 2 cups of water;
  • 1 to 2 tbsp. of citric acid;
  • Sponges, brushes, and dry rags.

In order to understand how to clean the microwave at home with citric acid, you need to follow the instructions. Pour the specified amount of powder into a bowl with water, stir it, and put it in the microwave for 10 minutes, including full power. After the specified time, wipe the oven with a sponge and a cloth.

How to clean the microwave with vinegar – a proven option

Vinegar – as versatile as baking soda, it can remove any dirt (soot, grease, mold), so for cleaning the microwave is excellent. Prepare for cleaning:

  • 3 tbsp. 9% vinegar;
  • microwave bowl;
  • 1-1.5 cups water;
  • Sponges, brushes, dry rags.

Pour the vinegar into a bowl with water and put it in the microwave for 10 minutes, turning it on to full power. If the dirt is strong, it is better to mix vinegar and water in a ratio of 1:1. When using this option, do not forget to open the window, otherwise the vinegar fumes will plunge you into a world of altered consciousness.
