Strunz Diet: Forever Young Thanks To This Crash Diet?

The idea is simple: slim down with highly concentrated protein drinks – but how sustainably do you lose weight with the “Forever Young” diet by fitness pope Ulrich Strunz?

Principle:

Lack of exercise and the wrong diet – that’s why, Strunz believes, civilization diseases are on the rise. The eating habits of humans are not even the root of all evil, but the ever poorer quality of fresh food. Although the German Society for Nutrition (DGE) has meanwhile refuted this thesis, this does not stop Ulrich Strunz from advising protein drinks, and vitamin and mineral supplements to support health. So you start with a formula diet, which gives way to Mediterranean cuisine after a few days.

Practicality:

Relatively complex: The first days of formula diets are easy to implement. The opposite is the case when you start to cook the recipes. Then you’ll be in the kitchen for up to 2.5 hours in some cases, and shopping is also likely to take some time. Meals at work are scheduled, but sensible suggestions are lacking. You also hardly get any useful tips for eating out.

Calories:

Are not counted

Duration:

10 days of formula diet, then one week of Forever-young diet, which can also serve as a permanent sports and nutrition concept

Overall verdict:

Whether you stay “forever young” with this diet is the question: the protein preparation suggested by Ulrich Strunz is not recommended for a 10-day diet using formula products alone. The Mediterranean cuisine that follows is indeed a cure for the taste buds, but the fat content hardly lets the pounds melt away. And also with protein, Vitaminen, mineral materials, and trace elements, Strunz means it in its program too well. The enthusiasm with which Mr. Strunz praises the training program is commendable. However, the concept does not go beyond mere motivation – the training program itself is disappointing and does not address precisely the overload problems that overweight people often have when exercising.
