The answer to the question of whether you can wash towels with citric acid is unequivocally positive, but there are a few mandatory nuances for the application of this means. First, you need to wash the towels with simple laundry soap in hot water. To get rid of the smell of towels with citric acid, you need to pour it on the soiled areas of the towel and wait for about half an hour until it is absorbed. Then rinse by hand in cold water.
You can also use vinegar for odor. Towels before washing should be soaked in a solution with vinegar: 250 ml per 10 liters of water. After a few minutes, things can be put in the machine for washing.
A mixture of vinegar and baking soda will well help in eliminating the unpleasant smell coming from the towels. Products should be held for about 5 minutes in a solution consisting of vinegar and baking soda: for every 8 liters of water, 1 cup of the product. You can also boil the towels since any bacteria perish when exposed to high temperatures. This method is only suitable for items made of natural fabrics. To boil the towels, you can take a large saucepan or a washing machine, using a mode with water heating to 90-95 degrees.
