What to Cook for the New Year: Beetroot Snack Recipe for the Holiday Table

We offer you to prepare a beet appetizer, which due to its simplicity and sophistication will be a highlight at your New Year’s celebration.

Fresh beet appetizer: recipe

We share with you the recipe for a bombastic beet snack for the New Year.

Ingredients

  • Melted cheese – one pack
  • Goat soft cheese – packing
  • Beets – baked in the oven until tender – 2 pcs.
  • Prunes – 10-12 pcs.
  • Garlic – 1-2 cloves
  • Pistachios (chopped) – 100 gr.

Cooking process

Mix 2 types of cheese with a fork. Add finely chopped prunes (if hard, soak in hot water for 10 minutes).

Crush the garlic and mix everything well.

If desired, add ground black pepper.

Peel the baked beets and cut them into thin slices (you can use a slicing grater). Spread 1-2 tsp of cheese mixture on each half of the beet wedges. Cover with the other half and dip the cheese filling in the pistachios.

Place on a plate and enjoy friends or family this incredibly tasty snack! Bon appetit!
