Blueberry syrup

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g blueberries
  • 125 ml water
  • 150 g sugar
  • 5 mint leaves

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 7 minutes; Total time approx. 27 minutes

Mash the blueberries in a saucepan, add the sugar, mint leaves, and water, and boil for about 5 minutes. Strain through a fine sieve, bring the collected liquid back to a boil, pour it into bottles while still hot, and seal them tightly. Turn the bottles upside down for a few minutes, then turn them upside down and let them cool. If you don’t want any seeds in the syrup, strain it through cheesecloth. Do not overcook it, so it doesn’t turn into jelly. The syrup is suitable for desserts and tastes great in sparkling wine or mineral water, as well as in cocktails.
