Bolognese rolls

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 packs of puff pastry, frozen, thawed
  • 500 g minced meat
  • 400 g pizza tomatoes
  • 1 tube(s) Tomato paste
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • garlic powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Let the puff pastry thaw slightly at room temperature. Brown the minced meat with the onion. Season to taste with spices; I use salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic. Add the tomato paste and fry lightly. Then add the pizza tomatoes and bring everything to a boil. Place the minced meat in portions on each sheet of puff pastry, simply roll it up loosely, and place it on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake at 200°C (top/bottom heat) until the puff pastry is the right size and color. This is up to you; I prefer it brown and crispy. The rolls are delicious with tzatziki and fries. And they’re also a hit cold, so they’re also suitable for a buffet.
