Börek with feta cheese and olive filling

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 package of dough sheets (yufka)
  • 3 pkt. sheep’s cheese (200 g each)
  • 30 olives, black
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 bunch parsley, flat
  • some salt
  • some pepper, from the mill
  • e.g. oil for the deep fryer

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Mash the feta cheese with a fork. Chop the olives and add them. Peel the garlic, press it, and add it. Finely chop the parsley and add it. Mix the mixture well and season with salt and pepper. Place 1 tablespoon of filling on each pastry sheet and roll up from the wide side. Fry the pastry rolls in batches in hot oil for about 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
