Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 tomatoes, skinned, pitted, diced
- 300 g minced beef or mixed
- n. B. Salt
- n. B. Pfeffer
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- tbsp olive oil
- 200 ml milk
- 100 ml oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 tbsp broth, instant
- 100 g cheese, grated
- 100 g flour
- 100 g polenta
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
- e.g. fat, for the casserole dish
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour
Hearty polenta casserole with tomatoes and minced meat
Brown the minced meat in olive oil until crispy, season with salt and pepper. Add tomato paste. Finally, add the tomatoes; do not cook. Whisk together the milk, oil, eggs, and instant broth. Then stir in the flour, polenta, and cheese. Grease a baking dish. Pour in half of the batter. Spread the filling evenly over the batter. Spread the remaining batter over the batter. Bake in the oven at 180°C (top and bottom heat) for 30 minutes. Serve with a fresh leaf salad.
