Bread casserole with minced meat

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g bread(s), stale, without nuts or seeds
  • 300 g minced meat, mixed
  • Seasoning
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • ½ bunch parsley
  • 1 tbsp fat or oil
  • 50 ml milk
  • 50 ml cream
  • 3 eggs
  • Paprika powder
  • rosemary
  • Thyme
  • pepper
  • Butter for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cut the bread into fine cubes or break into small pieces. Peel and finely chop the onions and garlic, and fry in hot fat or oil until translucent. Add the minced meat and fry until the meat has lost its raw color. Add the chopped parsley and season to taste. Mix the meat with the bread and transfer everything to a well-buttered baking dish. Whisk the eggs, milk, cream, and seasonings to taste and pour over the bread and meat mixture. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C to 200°C for about 30-40 minutes. Serve hot. Serve with a large bowl of salad.
