Bread dumplings

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g bread(s) (dumpling bread)
  • 250 ml milk
  • 3 eggs, including the yolk
  • 100 g butter
  • Salt
  • Parsley
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Heat the milk in the microwave for about 2 minutes at 100 percent power, melt the butter in it, and then let the milk cool. Whisk in the egg yolks, seasoning with salt and grated nutmeg. While the mixture is still warm, pour it over the dumpling bread. Finely chop the parsley and add it. Let the mixture rest for about 10 minutes (it should be slightly moister than for regular dumplings). Shape the mixture into dumplings and wrap them in plastic wrap. For napkin dumplings, form a roll about 7 cm thick and wrap it tightly in plastic wrap. Place the dumpling or dumpling roll on a plate and microwave at 100 percent power for about 6 minutes. Let it rest for 2-3 minutes. (While it cools, wrap the roll tightly in a kitchen towel to make it easier to cut.)
