Bread in tomato sauce with sauerkraut

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g bread(s)
  • 500 g tomatoes, pureed
  • 500 g sauerkraut
  • 40 g seeds, mixed
  • some water
  • some salt and pepper
  • some paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Place the sauerkraut in a small pot and add a little water. Simmer both over medium heat, seasoning after five minutes. Cut the bread into cubes. Place them in a pan with oil. Turn the bread over and over until the cubes are browned. Add the passata to the pan and cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, seasoning during the cooking time. Add the seed mixture to the pan just before the pan is cooked through. The bread in tomato sauce also tastes delicious topped with cheese.
