Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ kg bread(s)
  • 1 carrot(s)
  • 1 liter beef broth
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 piece(s) butter
  • ½ cup crème fraîche
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp caraway seeds

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Dice the onion, mix it with the caraway seeds, and sauté it in a saucepan with a little butter until translucent. Cut the bread and carrot into small pieces and add both. Once the bread is well toasted, deglaze with cold beef broth. After about 45 minutes of cooking, add the crème fraîche and nutmeg. Finally, puree everything.
