Breakfast: Millet Porridge with Caramelized Banana
The perfect breakfast: millet porridge with caramelized banana recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the topping:
- 125 ml Oat milk
- 1 Msp Cardamom
- 1 Msp Cinnamon
- 1 Pc. Banana
- 1 tsp Honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp Coconut oil
- 30 g Walnuts
- Soak the millet in a bowl of water overnight. The next day, drain through a sieve and pour into a small saucepan with the oat milk. Bring to the boil and then simmer over low heat with the lid covered for about 9-10 minutes until the liquid is absorbed. Remove the millet gruel from the heat and stir in the spices. Let the lid swell for 5 minutes.
For the topping:
- Cut the banana into slices, roughly chop the walnuts and fry both in the heated coconut oil. Pour the honey (alternatively maple syrup) over it and briefly toss in the pan.
- Put the millet porridge in a bowl and pour the topping over it.
