Broccoli and Feta Pie

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 100 g butter or margarine
  • 80 g quark
  • 125 g flour (wheat flour)
  • 400 g broccoli, cleaned in small florets or cubes
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 200 ml cream or milk
  • 200 g grated cheese, e.g. Emmental
  • salt and pepper
  • oregano

Quickly knead the ingredients for the base and press into a shallow pie dish or springform pan, leaving a 3-4 cm edge. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, until the dough starts to brown. Pre-cook the broccoli in salted water, drain, and add to the pre-baked base while still bite-proof. Dice the feta and spread it over the top. Whisk together the cream, egg, and cheese and pour over the broccoli and feta cubes, season with salt, pepper, and oregano. Be careful with the salt, as the feta is quite salty! Return to the oven and finish baking at 175 degrees Celsius for about 20-30 minutes. Serve warm. Serve with a fresh salad and a glass of wine.
