Broccoli and smoked pork casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g broccoli, frozen
  • salt and pepper
  • 250 g tagliatelle pasta
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 125 g Gouda, grated
  • 30 g butter
  • 30 g flour
  • 375 ml vegetable broth
  • 125 g whipped cream
  • 350 g smoked pork

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Cook the broccoli in boiling salted water for about 10 minutes. At the same time, cook the pasta for about 8 minutes. Meanwhile, dice the smoked pork and fry in hot oil. Drain the broccoli and pasta. Melt the fat and stir in the flour. Deglaze with the broth and cream, bring to a boil, and season with salt and pepper. Stir in half of the cheese. Mix the broccoli, pasta, and smoked pork, place in a baking dish, and pour the sauce over it. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (fan oven) for about 25-30 minutes.
