Broccoli pasta in Gorgonzola cheese sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g spirals
  • 300 g broccoli, fresh or frozen
  • 300g Gorgonzola
  • 200 g blue cheese (e.g. Bavaria Blue)
  • pepper
  • nutmeg
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup of sweet cream
  • Salt

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Clean fresh broccoli and divide into florets (no need for frozen broccoli). Boil the pasta and broccoli separately in salted water for about 10 minutes. Shake each through a sieve to drain. Heat the oil in a pan and melt the cheese, stirring frequently as it burns easily. Add the pasta and broccoli to the cheese sauce and mix well. Then add the sweet cream. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Simmer everything together for another 5 minutes (stirring constantly, otherwise the cheese sauce will burn quickly). Serve immediately.
