Brussels sprout stew with minced meat and tomatoes

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 kg Brussels sprouts
  • 3 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 500 g minced meat
  • 1 large can of tomatoes
  • 500 ml broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • salt and pepper
  • Caraway, ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Clean and wash the Brussels sprouts. Peel the onions and garlic. Halve and slice the onions. Brown the minced meat in oil until crumbly. Add the onions and crushed garlic. Season with salt, paprika, and pepper. Add the tomatoes and their liquid and the Brussels sprouts and sauté. Pour in the broth and simmer in a covered pan for 15 minutes. Add the sour cream and season with salt, pepper, and caraway. Serve with mashed potatoes.
