Buttermilk muffins with Nutella core

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 12 paper baking cups
  • 250 g flour
  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 125 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 80 ml vegetable oil
  • 250 g buttermilk
  • e.g. Nutella or other chocolate cream
  • n. B. icing
  • e.g. sugar sprinkles

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

for 12 muffins, great for children’s parties

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place the paper (or silicone) muffin cups in the muffin tin. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, egg, sugar, vanilla sugar, oil, and buttermilk with a hand mixer until the batter is free of lumps. Fill each muffin cup with half the batter and place them in the muffin tin. Bake in the oven for 5-7 minutes. This will prevent the chocolate center from sinking. Remove the tin from the oven and place a teaspoon of chocolate cream in the center of each muffin. Spread the remaining batter over the top and bake the muffins for about 15 minutes. Once the muffins have cooled, you can decorate them with some (colored) icing and sugar sprinkles; they are perfect for children’s parties.
