Buttermilk Soup

The perfect buttermilk soup recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 4 piece Organic egg yolks
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 piece Lemon fresh
  • 1 liter Buttermilk
  • 125 ml Cream
  • Possibly 4 mint leaves
  1. Squeeze the lemon. Beat the egg yolks, sugar and vanilla sugar until a thick, foamy mass is formed and the sugar has dissolved. Add the lemon juice drop by drop. Finally stir in the buttermilk.
  2. Fill the “soup” into dessert bowls and chill for 1 hour. Before serving, whip the cream and spread it over the soup. If available, decorate with 4 mint leaves.
