Cabbage and minced meat stew

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1.2 kg white cabbage
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 3 cans of chopped tomatoes, 400 g each
  • 2 onions, red
  • 1.4 liters of vegetable broth
  • 10 g Vegeta
  • salt and pepper
  • possibly sour cream or crème fraîche, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Cut the onions into a thin brunoise and the white cabbage into thin strips. Brown the minced meat with the onions in a large pot for about 5 minutes. Then gradually add the white cabbage and brown it. Deglaze everything with vegetable stock and chopped tomatoes and simmer in the covered pot over medium heat for about 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Finally, season the stew with Vegeta, salt, and pepper. Mix the stew with sour cream or crème fraîche on a plate. Serve with fresh farmhouse bread and, for those who like it a little spicier, pickled peppers. Based on 6 servings, one serving has 300 kcal.
