Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ white cabbage
  • 400 g pasta (Fleckerln)
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Caraway, ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Halve the cabbage head, remove the stalk, and finely chop the cabbage (using a cleaver if necessary). Finely chop the onion. Heat the butter, brown the sugar in it, sauté the onion, and deglaze with vinegar. Add the cabbage, pour in a little water, season with salt, pepper, and caraway seeds, and simmer covered for about 20-30 minutes until soft. Meanwhile, cook the pasta, then stir the pasta into the cabbage.
