Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes
Finely chop the white cabbage, finely chop 1 onion, and slice 2 onions. Clean the carrots, peel the potatoes, and slice both. Mix the minced meat with the chopped onion and 3 tablespoons of breadcrumbs; season with salt and pepper and set aside. Lightly fry the carrot slices with half of the cabbage in a pan with oil and stir. Remove from the heat. Season the cabbage/carrot layer with caraway, pepper, and paprika (do not mix). Place the minced meat on the cabbage and press down so that the cabbage is completely covered. Season again with caraway, pepper, and paprika. Now layer the onion rings and then the potato slices on top. Season again with caraway, pepper, and paprika. Finally, add the remaining cabbage and pour over 500 ml of stock. Close the lid and simmer. After 30-40 minutes, add the rest of the stock and simmer for another 10-20 minutes. Total cooking time approx. 50 min. Now stir lightly, divide between plates and sprinkle with plenty of parsley.
