Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 50 ml sweet cream
- 100 g cream cheese or herb cream cheese
- 150 g yogurt (cream)
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp herbs de Provence, freshly ground
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped, or more if desired
- ½ cucumber(s), finely diced or grated, more cucumber makes it slimmer
- 2 tbsp olive oil, good quality
- e.g. mint
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
Combine all ingredients except the cucumber and oil in a bowl until creamy. Season to taste, stir in the oil, and then grate the cucumber. Mix everything together and let it sit in the refrigerator for a while. If you add a bit of mint, it’s very refreshing. A quick, delicious dip/sauce, etc., for grilled food, potatoes, or salad. I came up with this recipe when I didn’t have any good yogurt or quark, but I did have leftover cream cheese with and without herbs de Provence. These days, though, we prefer this version with a whopping amount of garlic.
