Cake: Chocolate and Cheese Cakes with Cherries

The perfect cake: chocolate and cheese cakes with cherries recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For baking:

  • 60 g Soft butter
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1 bag Bourbon vanilla sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 500 g Low-Fat quark drained in the sieve
  • 0,5 bag Custard powder
  • 0,25 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Cocoa for baking
  • 0,5 tsp Orange peel, organic orange
  • 30 g Coarsely grated white chocolate
  • 14 Muffin tins

Aside from that:

  • Some powdered sugar for dusting, finely sifted
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (top and bottom heat). Halve the morello cherries. Mix the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar with the hand mixer until crumbly. Stir in the eggs one by one.
  2. Add the drained quark, pudding powder, baking powder, cocoa and orange peel zest and mix in. Finally fold in the morello cherries and the grated white chocolate.
  3. Place the muffin cases on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Spread the dough evenly in it. Bake in the oven for about 35 minutes on the middle rack, then allow to cool. Remove from the molds and dust with powdered sugar, arrange and serve. Bon appetit and have fun baking :-)!
  4. The cakes are nice and juicy and quickly baked. Ideal when the cravings for sweets are great or when you suddenly want to go to coffee.
