Cake: Chocolate and Nut Slices

The perfect cake: chocolate and nut slices recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 120 g Oatmeal
  • 100 g Ground almonds
  • 50 g Raw cane, whole cane or coconut blossom sugar
  • 1 tsp Tartar baking powder
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp Chia seeds
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 25 g Sesame flour, optional
  • 50 ml Frying oil or melted coconut oil
  • 70 g Vegan chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 60 ml Apple puree, unsweetened
  • 50 ml Oat milk or other milk alternative
  1. Grind the oatmeal into flour and mix with all the dry ingredients. Briefly stir in the remaining ingredients. Fill the sticky dough into an approx. 20 x 20 cm large, lined with baking paper mold and bake in the preheated oven on the middle rack at 180 degrees top / bottom heat (or 165 degrees fan-assisted) for about 20 minutes.
  2. Tastes warm and cold. If you omit the sesame flour, either use an alternative (e.g. hemp, coconut, sunflower seed flour, etc.), or increase the proportion of oat flakes accordingly.
