Moist Chocolate Nut Cake

The perfect moist chocolate nut cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Margarine
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 5 piece Eggs
  • 200 g Cream
  • 300 g Flour
  • 200 g Ground nuts
  • 1 bag Baking powder
  • 100 g Dark chocolate
  • 100 g Chopped nuts
  • 150 g Whole milk couverture
  1. Mix the margarine with the sugar and a pinch of salt until frothy. Mix the flour with the ground nuts and baking powder. Now add the eggs one after the other to the margarine sugar mixture and keep stirring. When the eggs are in, stir in the flour mixture spoon by spoon and keep adding a dash of the cream. When everything is well mixed into a dough, chop the chocolate and fold into the dough together with the chopped nuts. Grease and flour a baking pan and add the dough. Bake at 180 degrees for about 1 hour (stick test).
  2. After the cake has rested for a moment, dissolve the couverture and brush it onto the cake with a brush. If you like, you can sprinkle a few chopped nuts or brittle on it, it looks very nice.
