Cake dessert "Peach Clouds"

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 100 g butter
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 200 g wheat flour
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 300 ml milk
  • 1 packet of vanilla pudding powder
  • 1 cup of cream, 200 ml
  • 200 ml milk
  • 40 g sugar
  • 500 g quark
  • some peaches, quartered

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours

For the pastry: Melt the butter in a saucepan and let it cool slightly. Meanwhile, sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl, add the sugar and vanilla sugar, mix well, then add the butter and eggs, and finally the milk. Mix the pastry until smooth. Grease a baking dish and spread the pastry evenly. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (top and bottom heat) for 15-20 minutes. Let it cool. In the meantime, prepare the cream: Mix the custard powder with about 2 heaped tablespoons of sugar and stir in a little milk until smooth. Place a cup of cream (200 ml) and about 200 ml of milk in a saucepan and heat. When it boils, remove from the heat, add the smooth custard and stir quickly to avoid lumps. Then let it cool. Fold the quark into the custard and mix until smooth. It’s best to take the quark fresh from the refrigerator to cool the pudding quickly. Quarter some peaches and cut them into thin slices. Spread the cream over the cooled base. Decorate with the peach slices. It’s also delicious to spread some jam (strawberry or apricot, etc.) on the base.
