Ingredients

  • 400 g Flour
  • 1 cube Yeast
  • 125 ml Milk
  • 180 g Butter
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 40 g Sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 Vanilla pod
  • 100 g Dried cranberries
  • 50 g Orange peel
  • 50 g Chopped almonds

Instructions

  • Heat the milk with 0.5 teaspoons of sugar, then crumble the yeast and add 2 tablespoons of flour, stir everything together and leave to stand in a warm place covered for 10 minutes.
  • Put the sugar, butter, flour, salt 1 egg, 2 egg yolks and the scraped-out vanilla pod in a mixing bowl and stir slowly with the batter for about 10 minutes. Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place until it has doubled.
  • Now knead the dough again and add the cranberries and orange peel, mix everything well. Let rise again for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 C °, then bake the bread at 160 C ° for about 50 minutes. I chopped up the orange peel with the food processor because my husband doesn't like it.
