Cake in a mug

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 tbsp flour (wholemeal flour), or white flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • some vanilla sugar
  • possibly cocoa powder
  • e.g. chocolate, crushed, or desiccated coconut etc.
  • Amaretto or coconut liqueur, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 minutes; Total time approx. 8 minutes

Microwave mug cakes

Beat the egg in a microwave-safe mug (I always use a large one to avoid spills), add the flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, and cocoa powder (optional), as well as oil and milk, and mix. Now add desiccated coconut, chopped chocolate, or something similar, if desired. Amaretto or coconut liqueur also tastes great, but reduce the amount of milk accordingly. Then microwave the filled mug for 2-3.5 minutes (depending on the power). It also tastes great with ice cream on a hot cake, whipped cream, or chocolate/custard.
