Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 750 g onion(s), red
- 4 cl oil
- 4 cl balsamic vinegar
- 2 cl sugar
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes
Peel the onions and cut them into eighths. Mix the remaining ingredients until the sugar has dissolved. Mix well with the onion wedges. Place in a shallow baking dish and bake in the oven at approximately 160°C (convection oven) for about 45-60 minutes. Check after about 30 minutes and turn if the tips are getting too brown. Tastes great both warm from the oven and cold. Suitable as an antipasti on an appetizer buffet.
