Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 50 g butter
- 1 kg carrot(s)
- 2 tbsp Ras el Hanout
- 120 ml cream
- Salt

For lovers of oriental cuisine, this is a nice addition to a mezze starter
Slice the carrots very thinly. Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the carrots. Cover and sauté over low heat, stirring occasionally. Add a little water if necessary to prevent burning. When the carrots are soft, add the ras el hanout and simmer for another 2 minutes. Pour in the cream and puree the carrots. Add salt to taste. Serve cold with pita bread.
