Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g beef
  • 1 bunch of roots (= soup greens)
  • 500 g potatoes
  • 500 g carrot(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • marjoram
  • Parsley, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours

Cook the meat with the cleaned and chopped root vegetables in water over low heat until tender. Remove and cut into pieces. Strain the resulting broth through a sieve and sauté the diced potatoes and carrots for about 20 minutes. Add the meat back in and season with the spices, then sprinkle with parsley. You can also use pork ribs instead of beef. It will have a more robust flavor.
