Carrots – Chestnuts – Vegetables

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g carrot(s)
  • 1 tbsp clarified butter
  • 150 g chestnuts, pre-cooked
  • 50 ml white wine
  • 50 ml water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the carrots and cut them into sticks. Quarter or halve the chestnuts depending on their size. Brown them in clarified butter in a large pan, add the wine and water, and simmer for about 10 minutes until tender. Season with salt and pepper. Add the sugar and parsley just before serving. The chestnuts are available pre-cooked.
