Carrots with black sesame and ginger

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g carrot(s)
  • 1 piece(s) ginger, thumb-sized
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame, black
  • Sea salt, coarse

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cut the carrots into thin strips. Chop the ginger very finely. Heat the oil in a large nonstick pan. Add the ginger and heat for about 30 seconds, stirring. Add the carrot sticks and stir, then add a good pinch of salt and 4 tablespoons of water. Reduce the heat to medium and fry for 10 minutes, until the carrots are tender and the water has evaporated. Briefly dry-roast the sesame seeds in a pan. Mix the sesame seeds and soy sauce into the carrots and season to taste.
