Casserole with Beetroot Italy Style
The perfect casserole with beetroot italy style recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Spices
- 2 Onions
- 4 Potatoes
- Oil
- Pepper from the grinder
- Dried rosemary
- 10 Pc Carnations, whole
- 4 tbsp Natural yoghurt
Prepare vegetables
- (The proportions of potatoes, onions and beetroot should be roughly the same.) Peel and roughly dice the potatoes and onions. Peel the beetroot with a vegetable peeler (preferably with 1x gloves and over the sink as a precaution) and also dice. Make sure that the beetroot has no contact with the other vegetables so that it does not rub off.
Spice up
- 2nd casserole dish: Spread plenty of the spices on the vegetables! Don’t skimp on the cloves, because they give the whole thing that certain flair and without them it actually doesn’t taste good.
Trick 17 with the oil
- I spread plenty of oil over the vegetables and first rubbed the potatoes & onions with it and then the beetroot (don’t forget your gloves). Now that the oil was well massaged in, I mixed everything together so that the spices were also well distributed. This apparently had the side effect that the beetroot did not stain or the potatoes and onions became “color-resistant”.
Feta
- Finally, dice the feta or crumble it with your hands and distribute it.

- Cook everything on the middle rack at approx. 160 ° C. The cooking time also varies depending on how thick / big the vegetable pieces are. If the feta is already golden brown, but the vegetables are not yet soft, simply place a sheet of aluminum foil loosely on the casserole.
Good Appetite
- If the taste is too intense for you, you should simply stir in 1-2 tablespoons of yogurt. Then the taste is perfect; o)

- This recipe was created during a creative phase in my “test kitchen”, which is why the quantities on the pictures differ greatly from the information given. In the event that it didn’t taste good, I just didn’t want to have to throw away a lot of food unnecessarily.
