Celery Puree / Celery Mash

The perfect celery puree / celery mash recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 Fresh celery
  • Vegetable broth
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp Sour cream or creme fraiche
  • 1 shot Milk
  1. Clean the celery and cut into large cubes.
  2. Put in a large saucepan and fill with vegetable stock until it is covered. Then cook for at least 15 minutes until the celery is very soft.
  3. Drain the celery and pound it finely.
  4. Add sour cream / creme fraiche and pour in a dash of milk. Continue pounding until it has the desired consistency.
  5. Season to taste with the spices.
  6. 2 Take a tablespoon and hold it in cold water, then use it to form cams from the celery puree by repeatedly “cutting” one spoon from the other until the desired shape is created.
