Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 large celeriac
- some oil for frying
- Sea salt
- pepper

vegetarian schnitzel; celery super simple and delicious
Peel the celery root (or wash thoroughly) and slice it. Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the celery slices over medium heat. Turn once. The cooking time depends on the thickness of the slices and the desired consistency. Rough guideline: about 4 minutes per side for 1 cm thick slices. Covering the pan will speed up the cooking time. However, the celery won’t get as nice a color, as most of it will be steamed. Season with sea salt and pepper and serve hot. Tip: You can also sauté it in butter.
