Cevapcici with Jalapeño Relish
The perfect cevapcici with jalapeño relish recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the Cevapcici spice mix
- 0,5 Pc. Soup cubes
- 1 dl Water
- 2 tsp Sweet paprika powder
- 1 tsp Celery salt
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 0,5 tsp Black pepper
For the jalapeno relish
- 2 Pc. Onion
- 2 Pc. Clove of garlic
- 12 Pc. Jalapeño
- 1 Pc. Green peppers
- 0,5 Pc. Cucumber
- 1,5 tbsp Sugar
- 0,25 dl Vinegar
- Salt
- 1 pinch Cayenne pepper
Dishes history
- Originally from the Balkans, an integral part of Austrian cuisine from KundK times. A nice and spicy grill dish for the whole family with a touch of Mexico as a fresh jalapeno relish.
preparation
- Brush the peppers, 2 medium-sized onions and the jalapenos with a little oil, grill in the oven at 200 degrees for about 10-15 minutes.
- Dissolve the soup cube in 100ml water and reduce greatly.
The relish
- Let the grilled vegetables cool and peel them. Add the sliced cucumber.
- Coarsely puree everything, mix in the remaining ingredients, season with salt and pepper.
The cevapcici
- Mix the minced meat well with the reduced stock and the spices. Shape it into pieces the size of a thumb.
- Grill in the oven (at approx. 200 degrees) or on the charcoal grill for approx. 10-15 minutes, turning regularly.
