Cevapcici with Red Cabbage
The perfect cevapcici with red cabbage recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 Shallots
- 250 g Ground beef
- 1 Egg
- 3 tbsp Breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp Hot paprika powder
- 0,5 tsp Dried thyme
- Salt
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 400 g Fresh red cabbage
- 2 Shallots
- 1 tbsp Oil
- Salt
- 0,5 tsp Sugar
- 200 ml Vegetable broth
- 1 Bay leaf
- 150 g Cream yogurt
- Mint fresh
- Clean the red cabbage and cut into strips. Cut the shallots into small pieces. Sauté everything in a saucepan with 1 tablespoon of oil and season with salt and sugar. Add the vegetable stock and bay leaf. Cover and simmer over a medium heat for about 30 minutes.
- In the meantime, for the cevapcici, finely dice the shallots. Mix well with minced beef, egg, breadcrumbs, paprika powder, thyme and salt. Form into about 10 rolls. Fry the minced meat rolls in a pan with 2 tablespoons of oil. Fry for about 10 minutes over a medium heat.
- Arrange red cabbage with cream yoghurt and cevapcici on plates and serve.
