Char in baking paper

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 fish, ready to cook, gutted char, about 350 g
  • 3 slices of organic orange
  • 3 slices of organic lemon
  • 25 g butter
  • 10 basil leaves
  • Salt
  • Black pepper, freshly ground
  • 200 g vegetables, blanched summer vegetables of your choice

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). Rinse the char inside and out under cold water. Season with salt and pepper. Then place on a large sheet of baking paper. Fill the fish with basil, orange slices, lemon slices, and half of the butter. Place the vegetables next to the char, season with salt and pepper, and add the remaining butter. Fold the top of the baking paper several times. Twist the ends tightly like candy and secure with kitchen string. Place the resulting parcel on a baking sheet and cook in the oven for about 30 minutes. You can easily keep the fish warm for a few minutes in the switched-off oven. Remove the parcel from the oven, place it on a plate, open the top of the paper, and serve.
