Cheese and ham sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 g processed cheese, light
  • 4 slices of cooked ham
  • 150 ml milk, 1.5% fat
  • 450 ml vegetable stock
  • 2 tsp low-fat margarine
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • nutmeg
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Suitable for WW, goes well with pasta

Melt the margarine in a saucepan, add the flour, and stir until a thick paste forms. Gradually deglaze with the broth, whisking to eliminate lumps. Add the milk and gradually melt the cheese. Season to taste with nutmeg, salt, and pepper, and finally add the diced ham. Heat through and serve with cooked pasta.
